Raptive

Raptive requires 25,000 monthly pageviews, down from 100,000 since October 2025. The geography rule is tiered and matters as much as the traffic number: below 100,000 pageviews you need 50% of traffic from the US, UK, Canada, New Zealand or Australia; above it, 40%.

Requirements last verified against the network’s own documentation. Entry rules in this industry change every few months — check the source before you apply.

The detail behind those numbers

The minimum dropped from 100,000 to 25,000 monthly pageviews on 16 October 2025. The traffic geography requirement is tiered: sites between 25,000 and 99,999 pageviews need 50% of traffic from the United States, United Kingdom, Canada, New Zealand or Australia, while sites above 100,000 need 40%. Raptive also requires good standing with Google AdSense and original content.

Two numbers changed, and only one gets reported

On 16 October 2025 Raptive cut its minimum from 100,000 to 25,000 monthly
pageviews
— a 75% reduction, and the largest single change in entry
requirements across the major managed networks in recent years.

The part that gets far less attention is that the geography requirement is
tiered
, and the tier that applies to newly-eligible sites is the stricter one:

Monthly pageviews Traffic required from US, UK, CA, NZ, AU
25,000 – 99,999 50%
100,000+ 40%

So a site that just cleared the new threshold faces a higher geography bar
than a larger one. Publishers who read only the headline number and apply at
30,000 pageviews with 35% Tier-1 traffic will be declined on a rule they never
saw.

Why they moved

Raptive's own explanation is worth taking at face value: pageview counts have
become a poorer signal of quality than they used to be. AI-generated traffic
inflates them, algorithm volatility swings them, and a site's size stopped
correlating with whether its audience is worth advertising to.

That reasoning has a practical implication for applicants. If volume is a weaker
filter, the remaining filters carry more weight — original content, genuine
audience, and a traffic mix the advertisers actually want. A site that scraped
past 25,000 pageviews through aggregated or thin content is not in a better
position than it was at 100,000.

AdThrive is Raptive

The rebrand happened in 2023. Every guide still written about "AdThrive
requirements" is describing this company under its old name — which also means
it predates the 2025 threshold change and is quoting 100,000.

That is a useful staleness check when reading any comparison article: if it says
AdThrive, it is at least three years old.

Exclusive, and what that costs

Raptive manages your inventory outright. Joining is a migration of the whole
display setup, not the addition of a demand source, and leaving is the same in
reverse.

The upside is a high revenue share and management that a solo publisher cannot
replicate. The cost is that both directions involve rewriting your ads.txt, and
a network switch is the single most common way a publisher ends up with a broken
one — old lines removed before the new ones resolve, and no signal that anything
is wrong except a number that comes in lower.

Frequently asked

Is Raptive still 100,000 pageviews?
No. On 16 October 2025 Raptive cut the minimum to 25,000 monthly pageviews, a 75% reduction. The 100,000 figure is still quoted almost everywhere, and it now only matters as the point where the geography requirement relaxes.
What is the traffic geography requirement?
It is tiered. Sites with 25,000 to 99,999 monthly pageviews need 50% of traffic from the United States, United Kingdom, Canada, New Zealand or Australia. Sites above 100,000 need 40%. A smaller site is therefore held to a stricter geography rule, not a looser one.
Is Raptive the same as AdThrive?
Yes. AdThrive rebranded to Raptive in 2023. Anything written about AdThrive's requirements describes the same company under its old name, and is by definition at least that out of date.
Can I run Raptive alongside another network?
No. Raptive manages your inventory exclusively, so joining means moving your whole display setup rather than adding a demand source.

Whichever network you run, ads.txt is the same risk

Every network on this list authorises its demand through your ads.txt. If a line disappears, that network stops bidding — and nothing in its dashboard will tell you. A network switch is the most common way it happens.
